We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team. Are you passionate about the craft of digital design and the brand experience? As Graphic Designer, you will generate clear ideas, concepts, and the design of creative assets from beginning to end, that create a highly designed visual experience. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who will bring elegance and simplicity to complex communications, and translate strategy into effective visual communications for digital and print.

Overview:
The Graphic Designer will assist in the visual representation and execution of digital and print materials that support the Evergreen brand. This individual has a proven track record in digital and print design that is in line with brand standards, as well as designing for advertising campaigns.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with other members of the Marketing and Communications team, including the Creative Services team, to design communications and marketing campaigns that positively impact people\xe2\x80\x99s experiences. You have a passion for detail, composition and design trends, are highly motivated, digitally savvy and thrive in a fast paced environment.

The Graphic Designer is passionate about the craft of design and the brand experience. They will generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end that create a highly designed visual experience. The successful candidate will bring elegance and simplicity to complex communications, and translate strategy into effective visual communications for digital and print.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and refine the Evergreen visual identity as an active contributor to Evergreen\xe2\x80\x99s brand refresh
  • Conceptualize and consistently deliver great creative across all digital, social media and print channels in line with Evergreen\xe2\x80\x99s brand standards
  • Manage web design for desktop and mobile, including logos, graphics, infographics, icons, imagery and multimedia presentations
  • Conceptualize, design and execute creative solutions, including advertising campaigns for both digital and print
  • Create ads across a variety of channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube and Google Display
  • Design print collateral such as reports, brochures, posters, signage and advertising
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring appropriate application for all projects across Evergreen
  • Work with web developer to oversee Evergreen\xe2\x80\x99s digital design and contribute to a positive user experience

You have the following qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design with a with a thorough understanding of design principals and trends
  • 3-5 years of applied graphic design or production experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Video software an asset.
  • Skilled in Digital Design for Social, Email and Web
  • Proven Experience in print production
  • Proven experience working on advertising campaigns
  • Working knowledge of AODA standards
  • Experience developing brand identities and ability to implement guidelines across all mediums
Additional Information: Working conditions:
  • Position is based out of Evergreen\xe2\x80\x99s head office at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto Office and remote-work environment, with on the ground presence as required
  • Regular office hours (flexible), with occasional onsite and offsite evenings and/or weekends as required

Reporting Relationships:
  • Supervised by: Senior Manager, Brand and Creative Services
Contract
  • 14 months (parental leave cover), full-time
  • Wage: $50,000 - $55,000
