Our team members believe in giving back and embracing diversity of thought, background, culture, process, and perspectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the Visual Design team to assess design needs from initial planning stages to implementing client project launches
• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials, conducting research, and connecting with clients and the Visual Design team
• Conceptualizing design strategies for brands across different industries and being able to plan designs for different media outlets
• Designing a range of graphics and layouts, including logos, collateral material, brand identity guidelines documents (including color combination and typography), newsletter templates, website designs, and illustrations
• Designing print and digital layouts for social media and editorial purposes
• Cleaning up and recoloring architectural plans and elevations
• Creating vector illustrations, GIFs and small animations, and retouching images
• Creating graphs, charts, and infographics
• Leading the creation of websites and assets for websites
• Researching trends and creating mood boards

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Professional degree in graphic design, arts, marketing or related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design or related field
• Working directly with other designers and sharing ideas, providing feedback and recommendations
• Working directly with clients (including communication, presentations, and brainstorming) an asset
• Creative agencies experience an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding design thinking, brand strategy, brand identity, logo creation process, color combination, typography
• Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Media Encoder, and After Effects
• WordPress or other CMS software
• Mailchimp or other mail list management software
• HTML + CSS knowledge, or Meta Business Suite an asset
• Demonstrable graphic design skills and strong portfolio
• Ability to provide and receive feedback and change directions to meet end goal
• A strong eye for visual composition and high attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities, manage competing deadlines and achieve long term goals
• A commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
• Ability to work on a diverse team, with openness and curiosity
