As our new Graphic Designer, you will turn concepts into creative pieces that capture our consultants\xe2\x80\x99 and customers\xe2\x80\x99 attention. This includes working on and assisting in developing creative content for catalogue, print media, packaging design, web banners, photography, videography, product design, and conference materials.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll excel in this role if you\xe2\x80\x99re skilled in visual design, open to ideas, and fit within a collaborative work environment. You must have the ability to take in a wide range of briefs, think strategically, work within design guidelines, and constantly consider the end user in all designs.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
  • Create graphic design solutions for projects by interpreting ideas and visions and turning these into creative pieces that are on brand and consistent across all marketing and advertising channels (including newsletters, print, web, and packaging).
  • Organize, schedule, and execute product photo shoots by organizing production, taking photos of monthly specials and catalogue photography. This includes researching and collecting props for shoots and editing photos for colour correction.
  • Act as the creative resource for the marketing team by attending marketing meetings and collaborating on ideas to deliver strategic creative messaging that is on target with brand messaging.
  • Project manage internal creative projects as required by scoping out requirements, planning timelines and managing the many moving pieces of deliverables under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
  • Manage a consistent company brand through multiple channels by maintaining marketing materials and ensuring consistent brand and quality of creative pieces on all media forms, including monthly customer email campaign.
  • Execute engaging video content for web promotion using Adobe Premiere.
  • Prepare simple food and drink recipes for photography and videography with attention to basic food styling techniques.
  • Assist with the execution of the semi-annual product catalogue including product and lifestyle photography and catalogue layout.

What Makes You an Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, graphic or web design, or related field.
  • Highly practiced graphic designer with a passion for simplicity, clean and modern designs.
  • Technical expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and Lightroom.
  • Working knowledge of DSLR photography and basic videography, including editing skills.
  • Ability to take an idea forward when given a rough concept.
  • Strong self-driven time management skills.
  • Able to work both independently within a team environment, and collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve necessary results.
