We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring the highest levels of food safety and hygiene. Duties

Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to restaurant recipes and standards. Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, following all food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Manage inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality at all times. Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal specials based on market trends. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about sushi and ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in a restaurant setting, particularly in sushi or Japanese cuisine is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety standards within the food industry. Previous kitchen experience is essential; experience as a Sushi Chef is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
