We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. Your expertise in the kitchen will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Stay updated on current trends in sushi preparation and presentation techniques. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.

Experience

Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety standards, and kitchen operations. Experience in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and serving in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual responsibilities.
