We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation. Your expertise in food safety and handling will ensure that all dishes are prepared in a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations at all times. Assist in menu planning and development, bringing innovative ideas for new sushi offerings. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about sushi options, and accommodating special requests.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi-making techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
