Goldeye Centre is undergoing a complete transformation into an

all-season boutique resort

located in the Alberta Rockies, surrounded by lakes, trails, and one of the province's most popular mountain biking networks. Just a short drive from Jasper, the resort will welcome everything from corporate retreats and weddings

to backcountry adventurers and educational groups.



With a soft launch scheduled for

August 2025,

and a full resort opening in

June 2026

, Goldeye's

food and beverage program

will be a key element in creating high-end, nature-inspired guest experiences focused on local and seasonal inspirations. The upcoming 2025 season will see a handful (3-5) soft launch test groups, giving our new F&B Manager a chance to

shape the culinary and service strategy

before scaling for full operations.

The Role - A Unique Opportunity



This is not your average F&B Manager role- we're looking for someone who's excited about building from the ground up,

launching a new F&B program, hiring a team, setting standards, and helping shape the guest experience

for what will become one of Alberta's most distinct all-inclusive boutique hospitality destinations.

As the F&B Manager, you'll have full support from Goldeye's leadership and consulting team during the startup phase. By Fall 2025, you'll be the key point of contact for F&B operations. You'll run point for

the soft launch group bookings in August-October 2025

, then shift into

light project-based work over the winter

before ramping up again in

spring 2026

to support the official resort launch.

Contract Structure



Full-time hours required during

July-August 2025

for the soft launch

Flexibility in hours during the fall/winter season (based on bookings and business needs)

Full-time commitment expected again April 2026 leading up to the official

June 2026

1-year contract with an option to extend based on performance and future growth

Key Responsibilities



Team & Operations Leadership



Lead scheduling, ordering, and day-to-day food service operations

Build connection with local vendors, farmers and suppliers for both the bar and food program

Support onboarding of a Head Chef and culinary team

Hire and onboard BOH and FOH management including Chef and FOH manager

Build a strong service culture aligned with Goldeye's values and guest expectations

Train staff on menus, service standards, health and safety, and guest experience touchpoints

Oversee scheduling, labor planning, and team development

Training and development for FOH & BOH teams in coordination with Head Chef and Middle Managers

Operational Oversight



Lead all daily F&B operations including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and special event services

Ensure seamless delivery of service for small group stays (10-20 guests) and large-scale events

Establish operational systems for ordering, inventory, sanitation, prep, and quality control

Coordinate with Black Sheep Consultants and the Director of Operations during launch and transition stages

Manage POS system setup and usage

Performance management of direct reports to ensure they are exceeding expectations for high quality standards and KPI's

Guest Experience & Service



Design and execute a guest-centric service model for small-large groups and high-end events

Develop various service offerings and F&B packages for weddings, corporate retreat, all-inclusive packages, and large parties

Oversee execution of food program to include breakfast, lunches, dinner, and snacks for guests

Ensure high standards of quality, efficiency, and hospitality are exceed with each booking

Support in the food and beverage program development for weddings, retreats, and special bookings

Work with Director of Operations and Head Chef to curate unforgettable food and beverage experiences for our guests

Systems & Planning



Help set up FOH and BOH processes, vendor relationships, prep SOPs, and dining room flow

Collaborate with leadership on menu development, inventory systems, and AHS compliance

Document best practices for long-term sustainability of operational processes and efficiencies

Develop the food and beverage structure, plan and programing for expanded operations in 2026

Support leadership in preparing the restaurant, kitchen, bar, and any additional event/dining facilities launch for 2026

Culinary & Vendor Relations



Work in partnership with the Chef and consulting team on menu planning and seasonal adjustments

Establish relationships with local and regional suppliers to promote sustainability and source local ingredients

Oversee vendor procurement and communications

Compliance & Administration



Ensure full compliance with Alberta Health Services standards and all regulatory bodies

Prepare for and support health inspections, licensing, and food safety reviews

Monitor cost controls, margins, and waste reduction initiatives

Maintain accurate records and documentation for payroll, sales, and operational performance

Administrative & Financial



Maintain inventory and ordering systems

Monitor food cost, waste reduction, and margin targets

Support health inspections, safety logs, and regulatory compliance

Prepare Food and Beverage departmental budgets, forecasting, and profit/loss statements to be reviewed by Director of Operations

Responsible for hitting KPI's and costing targets

Requirements:



5+ years of experience in food & beverage leadership (preferably in resort/lodge settings)

Hands-on, "build it from scratch" mindset

Strong leadership and team-building skills

Experience working in seasonal or remote environments (asset)

Previous culinary and chef experience (asset)

Previous experience with menu development, costing, budgeting, and designing food and beverage programs

Proven ability to effectively manage both FOH and BOH operations while meeting financial goals and KPI's

Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with managing seasonal staff teams
Passion for guest service and hospitality that blends high standards for quality service with authenticity

Experience with event catering and group dining logistics

Knowledge of Alberta food safety standards, licensing, and inspection processes

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with external partners and internal teams

Comfortable living in a remote location with flexible seasonal demands

Creative problem-solver who thrives in start-up environments and building systems from scratch

Strong administrative skills, including experience in scheduling, payroll, inventory, P/L reporting and budgeting Strong working knowledge of MS Office Proficiency in using POS systems and other related technologies Knowledge & adherence of AHS and ALGC legislation (Proserve certification required within 30 days of commencing employment)
Strong connections with local vendors and supplies

What We Offer



Compensation:

$75,000-$85,000/year (based on experience, prorated for seasonal structure)
