The Selkirk Development Corporation (SDC) is seeking a qualified individual to join our small and highly collaborative team, in the role of Finance Manager. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager is responsible for delivering business results through the leadership of the financial functions relating to SDC and its affiliates. SDC was created to contribute to the economic prosperity of the Selkirk First Nation, by being a part of strategic and profitable business ventures that maximize opportunities in the traditional territory and elsewhere. Interested persons are invited to submit a resume and cover letter clearly indicating how they meet the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, finance or accounting, with a professional designation preferred;
- At least four years' experience working in a financial leadership role, with operational finance responsibilities;
- At least two years' prior experience in a people leadership role:
- Ability to work with a Board of Directors and understand governance accountabilities and processes;
- Experience leading an annual audit process;
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engaged listening;
- Experience working as a collaborative team member, pitching in where and when required.
