As a member of the leadership team, the Finance Manager will be involved in strategic execution and leading the finance and administration department. They are responsible for hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations and supervision of staff in managing all financial and administrative aspects of RHK Hydraulic Cylinder Services Inc. This position is responsible for the efficient and accurate capture of financial information, reporting, modelling and reconciliation, all compliance, budget and variance analysis, and year-end review. This position will also be responsible for leading ongoing reviews of business processes using operational metrics and reports. Job Responsibilities & Duties
Accounting

  • Maintain operational and financial controls and records
  • Monitor and confirm financial conditions by conducting internal audits
  • Management and supervision of the finance team including recruitment, professional development, and performance management
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including summarizing of financial data and trends and variance analysis
  • Development and implementation of policy or process ensuring internal financial controls are consistent with best industry practice
  • Prepare and coordinate the annual budget process by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data with input from the management team and department leads
  • Liaise with external parties relating to the financial accounts of RHK, specifically for daily banking, year-end review, and financial systems
  • Ensure the organization is compliant with all current federal, provincial, and municipal remittance and tax reporting requirements
  • Oversee and maintain policies and procedures for the disbursement of funds to all third-party investors
  • Effective cash management and maximization of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s financial resources
  • Maintain professional and effective working relations with the leadership team and all departments
Analytics
  • Provide the leadership team with appropriate data for decision-making, monitoring of performance, strategic consultation, financial analyses, and cash projections
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational, segmentation, and other related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
  • Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for use in strategic decision-making
  • Gather and input all weekly, quarterly, and annual measurables on all company scorecards.
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes, ensuring the alignment between organizational goals and financial plans
  • Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time issues as required
  • Enhance the BI (business intelligence) system to improve decision-making by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
Office Administration and IT
  • Ensure general office administration duties are being carried out (e.g., ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, etc.)
  • Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures
  • Manage all hardware inventory and software subscriptions
  • Be the point of contact for hardware-related questions, issues, and concerns
  • Support onboarding of new employees by setting them up with IT access, computers/laptops, cell phones, desk phones, etc.
  • Manage outsourced Third-Party IT solutions providers
  • Work closely with Third Party IT providers to resolve issues in the least disruptive way
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Minimum of a diploma or degree in accounting/finance
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience with cash management and risk assessment
  • Experience analyzing data and translating it into informative visuals and reports
  • Ability to make sense of the operations and sales environments using metrics and reporting
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, with strong to advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, ability to work independently and deliver to a variety of commitments and deadlines despite altering time frames and schedules
  • Advanced technical skills with an ability to adapt and learn new software and application quickly
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as ADP and JobBOSS is considered an asset
  • CPA professional accounting designation is an asset
  • Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
Working Environment
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals
  • 40-hour work week
