Finance Manager

We are looking for a driven individual to join our finance team and be a key member of our Finance department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a busy work environment, proficiency working with ERP software and driving positive change. We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude who takes pride in their work and is looking to grow their career with one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s best managed companies. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the close off process and prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and related schedules & notes.
• Conduct variance analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Drive efficiencies in process, establishing best practice for our finance department
• Support all aspects of financial planning, operational reporting, ad hoc financial/business analysis, funding analysis, project management and financial modeling
• Support accounting research to provide recommendations, ensuring the Company complies with all areas of ASPE and in accordance with established Paladin Security Group policies and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors to provide them with the necessary information for the annual audit
• Ensure appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained, and lead on any system implementation impacting financial systems
• Provide mentorship and supervise accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA professional accounting designation
• A minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience
• A proven track record in supporting the production of financial statements compliant with ASPE
• Track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
• A collaborative approach to leading an accounting team in finding creative solutions to daily issues
• Demonstrated ability in leading teams to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and month-end close processes
