About the Role

Haliscape Construction is expanding our residential construction and landscaping team and is currently hiring an experienced

Equipment Operator

. In this full-time, permanent role, you'll be responsible for safely operating excavators, loaders, and other machinery to support residential projects across HRM.

This is a year-round opportunity with steady hours, competitive pay, and a chance to contribute to well-crafted landscape and site work in one of Halifax's fastest-growing areas.

What You'll Do

Operate excavators, loaders, and skid steers to complete tasks such as digging, grading, trenching, and moving materials Interpret basic site drawings and grade plans to ensure accuracy and precision Perform regular equipment checks Collaborate with your crew and site leads to maintain a smooth workflow and meet daily project targets

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience

operating excavators or loaders in a construction or landscaping setting Ability to read grade sheets or follow layout plans confidently Strong situational awareness and mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting

Valid Class 5 driver's license

and

reliable transportation

-- job sites are not on public transit routes Physically capable of working outdoors in varying conditions A team-focused attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Nice to Have)

Experience with

skid steers

(especially foot controls)

First Aid certification

or other safety training Background in

hardscaping

, grading prep, or other residential landscape work
