Summary

Talisker Resources is looking for an Environmental Technician to join their Bralorne team in a part time capacity. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Technician will primarily be responsible with assisting the Environmental Department with field sampling, monitoring and data management.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental monitoring and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations. Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans. Collect and analyze environmental samples, including soil, water, and air. Maintain accurate records of environmental data and reports. Collaborate with other departments to promote environmentally responsible practices. Participate in site inspections and audits as required. Provide support during environmental training sessions for staff. Stay updated on relevant environmental legislation and best practices.

Qualifications

College or University Degree in Environmental Science or Technician, Environmental Field courses/ Certification preferred. Safety Certificates: First Aid, working near water, Wildlife awareness (Bear Aware) willing to take training courses. Minimum 1 year Field work: collecting data, organizing and implementing field programs Knowledge and experience with BC Field Sampling Manual an asset. Strong Microsoft, Word, Excel and outlook skills. Data Management Strong Organizational and planning skills. Strong Health and Safety disposition and teamwork orientated Working independently, Attention to Details. Comfortable driving Side by side / work truck. Working outdoors in adverse conditions. Valid driver's license required Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
