Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a

Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2

for a work assignment at Morinville Colony School.


Morinville Colony School serves Kindergarten to Grade 9 students of the Morinville Hutterite Brethren Colony. Constructed in 1999 as a collaborative project between the Colony and Sturgeon Public Schools, this two-room school remains a valued and supported part of the community. The school and Colony work closely together to create a welcoming environment and provide meaningful learning opportunities for all K-9 students.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will:

Support students across a range of grades and learning needs Assist with academic, social, and behavioural development Provide individualised and small-group support as needed Contribute to a caring, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment
Collaborate with school staff to promote student success and well-being

What You Bring

Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate Experience supporting students with Autism or behavioural needs CPR and First Aid Training or experience in behaviour support, TCIS, developmental and emotional regulation strategies Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Flexibility, patience, and a student-centred approach Equivalencies combining education, knowledge, and experience may be considered
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check
