Sturgeon Public Schools is currently recruiting a Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for a 0.5 FTE work assignment at Guthrie School.


Located on the CFB Edmonton Garrison and just minutes north of Edmonton and St. Albert, Guthrie School serves students in Pre-K to Grade 9, with approximately 270 students and 50 staff. Guthrie fosters a supportive, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to think critically, engage deeply in their learning, and grow creatively as problem solvers.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will:

Support learning and routines in a grade 3 classroom during the afternoons Assist students in developing foundational academic, social, emotional, and self-regulation skills Implement strategies and supports aligned with individual student needs Help create a safe, caring, and engaging early learning environment Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support student success

What You Bring

Educational Assistant Diploma or Certificate, or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate Experience supporting young learners with behavioural or emotional regulation needs CPR and First Aid Experience with: Developmental, social, and emotional learning supports Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools (TCIS) Trauma-informed practice Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills Equivalencies combining education, knowledge, skills, and related experience may be considered
