Job Description





The Director, Enterprise & Partnership, reporting to the Vice President, Business Markets, is a key player in driving service and sales within the enterprise and business environment. The Director, Enterprise & Partnership, is accountable for prospecting new business relationships, growing existing strategic accounts and develop strategies that lead to a more competitive cost structure, greater agent productivity, improved deployment strategies, all while maintaining the sales growth required by the business. This position is responsible for assisting in the creation and communication of the business strategic plan and is highly involved in marketing tactics. The Director, Enterprise & Partnership, requires an ability to conceptualize new ideas, partner with various internal and external stakeholders, thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment, and have past success improving revenue, churn, productivity, and quality results. A background in marketing, analytics, strategy, planning, presentation, project management and business leadership are required for this position. This position has the following direct reports:

Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the implementation of large-scale initiatives that contribute to the strategic direction of the company. 2. Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners and lead activities related to marketing such as brand awareness, community engagement and seeking opportunities to increase brand exposure. 3. Recruit and lead a high performing team executing assigned major projects including and not limited to on-boarding, coaching/mentoring. 4. Continue to drive the evolution of the Marketing group from an internally focused department to a customer-focused organization with emphasis on informal organizational leadership, strategic thinking, market knowledge and customer knowledge. 5. Engages and leads negotiations with strategic partners, suppliers and internal resource owners to execute major projects. May include engineering, Supply Chain, and Bell. 6. Leads and oversees service development from product definition to market launch. 7. Overall responsibility and accountability for ensuring outcomes achieved as defined within the scope of the project. 8. Champions change initiatives ensuring the operationalization of the product/solutions are fully supported by the business post implementation, including finalization of support processes. 9. Prepares and manages department and project budgets of up to $50 million in accordance with corporate governance, accounting and project management principles. 10. Ensures the reporting needs of funding partners such as federal and territorial governments are fully satisfied, including but not limited to financial audit reports, network health, and ad hoc requests 11. Ensures projects meet Northwestel and federal health and safety standards, safe work compliance for employees and contractors in collaboration with Corporate Health and Safety. 12. Contributes to regulatory strategy related to major project implementation, including pricing, wholesale access, and positioning with regulatory agencies. 13. Actively participate in the Health & Safety program by working in compliance with OH&S Acts and Regulations, completing required training and reporting immediately to your Supervisor or Workplace H & S Committee member any work-related hazards and concerns. Knowledge and Skills Required This position requires an individual with a postgraduate degree in business (MBA or equivalent) and 7-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience. Candidates with a marketing background, project management and strategic planning experience are preferred, ideally in the communications industry. Excellent analytical, communication (oral and written), interpersonal, planning/project management, and staff management/leadership skills are required. In addition, the position requires an individual who is able to quickly grasp high level technical concepts and who understands the basics of business in the telecommunications industry. Participation in organizational health and safety and/or knowledge of H&S regulations in Canada, will be considered an asset. What We Offer You
