Job Title Director, Digital Ops Capabilities Enablement



WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This position is a Director, Digital Ops Capability Enablement within the Digital Ops Technology team, specializing supporting technical delivery within Agile projects. Your teams will be working on multiple concurrent projects and all your responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with RBC Code Of Conduct, RBC Values and Enterprise policy and guiding principles.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Build the state of the art, highly scalable Digital platforms as a strong visionary, technical lead and contributor across the team
  • Provide leadership and coaching for multiple development teams.
  • Facilitate joint planning with our business partners in the early stages of project formation
  • Management of multiple suppliers and overseeing the governance around those relationships.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through presenting technical solutions to executives and business partners.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management over multiple products
  • Resolve complex issues and conflicts (including architectural direction vs. project constraints);
  • Positive approach, self-motivated, strong relationship building, team players, approachable leader and creative ability to find gaps and build own initiatives
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

MUST HAVE:
  • 15+ years of experience in modern technology development stacks.
  • Can get to details of the technical issues faced by developers and find ways to debottleneck development by creating spike solutions, proof of concept development
  • Working knowledge of Web / API and Form Generation technologies
  • Process knowledge including different testing tools, design techniques and tools, risk assessment and quantification methodologies
  • Previous experience working in an Agile lab
NICE-TO-HAVE:
  • Systems knowledge including different programming languages, IT standards, methodologies, capability maturity model (CMM), audit requirements, and middleware technologies
  • Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, SVN, Git, Automated Testing tools, etc.,
  • Experience with relational database technologies DB2/SQL Server
