Opportunity

As Director, Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for supporting the development and overseeing execution of our global digital marketing strategy. You will oversee the full digital marketing funnel and partner closely with the in-house Creative team to stay in lock step with product launches and brand alignment. Both analytical and imaginative, the ideal candidate must be able to understand performance data and derive actionable insights that will help optimize paid media strategies. They will be a true entrepreneur living in a constant cost/benefit lens with our budgets and time. Living happily in the numbers and always finding an opportunity, this individual will eloquently explain performance trends to business stakeholders in a clear, no-nonsense, fact based way. You will lead and develop our in-house digital team members and manage all external contractors and agencies operating in a fast-paced and agile environment. Through day to day functions, the Director of Product contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje\xe2\x80\x99s culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje\xe2\x80\x99s values: Wellness, Growth, Celebration, Greatness and Belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Helps manage departmental budget & forecast, as it relates to respective media spends
  • Support the building of and overseeing delivery of the full funnel digital marketing strategy
  • Partner with our agencies of record on the entire paid media strategy and execution to increase new customer acquisition, customer retention, sales and optimize ROAS (specifically email/SMS, social, display, search, and affiliate)
  • Establish the media plan target KPIs to deliver the business plan by website
  • Build an on-going focus across the digital marketing department of analytics and testing to drive continuous optimizations
  • Assist in the execution and the development of the annual digital marketing workplan and champion the projects associated with DM specifically
  • Oversee our agency and digital marketing contractor relationships
  • Oversee creative requests to the brand team ensuring we have the right amount of content to maximize each channel requirements for optimization
  • Actively contribute to integrated go-to-market seasonal planning process to ensure campaigns and plans will resonate in digital channels.
  • Be intellectually curious and in a mode of continuous learning to stay up-to-date with digital technology developments to reach and engage with customers
  • Oversee and assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly digital marketing analytics reports; draw insights from available data and champion related marketing actions when needed
  • Own the tracking and reporting on behalf of digital marketing for the business and management of all corresponding dashboards
  • Research, promote and introduce new digital marketing platforms and technologies to help the brand progress and evolve in the digital space
  • Monitor competitive activity and develop counter programs to ensure pre-eminence of the Saje brand online
  • Track share of voice by product category across the funnel
  • Work through automation, tagging, and data integrity issues with cross functional partners in web dev as needed
  • Report on channel performance on a weekly and monthly cadence, measuring core KPI\xe2\x80\x99s such as AOV, traffic and conversion rates
  • Build out targeting and audience strategies to ensure campaigns are as personalized as possible (customer lifecycle segmentation, predictive analytics, affinity-based targeting)
Team Leadership/Management
  • Build a digital marketing team that promotes and sustains a culture that values analytical problem solving, collaboration and accountability
  • Lead, empower and motivate your direct team to continued success ensuring all team members have robust development plans to support learning and development in their respective career paths.
  • Assess, develop, and elevate the capabilities of the team to create a high performing, best in class digital marketing team.


Applicant Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent in marketing, business, communication, or a related field
  • You have 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing paid and organic media (email, search, display, social), either at an agency or in-house. Additional experience in managing other digital marketing channels such as influencer, podcast, CTV, DOOH is a plus
  • Experienced in goal-setting and defining & growing KPIs
  • 2+ years of experience completing data-driven analyses that delivered value and generated revenue within an eCommerce organization maximizing ROAS
  • You have experience using online advertising solutions and tools such as Google Adwords, Aspire IQ, Facebook Ad Manager, etc.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with strong working knowledge (minimum 5 years) of Google Analytics 4, Webmaster Tools and other analytics platforms
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value and frequency management
  • You have strong Excel skills with experience building pivot tables, multi-function formulas and graphs.
  • You have the ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors/partners
  • Data-driven, results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
  • Strong understanding of the role content in its various forms needs to play in the customer journey. Experience building an editorial point of view and calendar that builds brand, engagement, supports campaigns, improves SEO, and increases customer retention.
  • Highly omnichannel focused. Have the ability to feel ownership for delivery of the company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals including revenue, units and profit.
  • Experience managing a complex operating budget.
  • Excellent analytical and program management skills. Highly planful, but agile and capable of deriving creative solutions.
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with a track record of proven leadership and a collaborative mindset
  • Must be an articulate professional with excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in the ability to positively and creatively influence change and direction within professional environments
  • Highly analytical and an expert in analyzing metrics, identifying trends and developing data-driven recommendations and strategies based on insights
