Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario ("the AGO") is one of the largest art museums in North America, with a collection of close to 120,000 works. We are currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time, Director, Corporate Partnerships & Development Special Events to join our Development team. Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the incumbent will manage strategies and activities to develop powerful Corporate Partnerships and highly impactful Development Special Events at the AGO, each designed to align with the AGO's vision, values and brand while achieving robust revenue goals. Working with senior development staff, he/she will develop the overall corporate strategy by identifying opportunities for philanthropic relationships, sponsorships, partnerships and activations. Leads the development of the AGO's strategy for special fundraising events designed to maximize revenue, strengthen the AGO's brand amongst the corporate and philanthropic community and create an effective gateway for pipeline development of high potential partners and donors. Also leads the planning and execution of stewardship events for all levels of support.
As a member of the Development team, this role also contributes to realizing the AGO's vision to lead global conversations from Toronto through extraordinary collections, exhibitions and programs and by reflecting the people who live here. The AGO is also taking steps to build our capacity to actively work on addressing issues of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility in our galleries, programming and workplace. We have embedded diversity and inclusion into our strategic plan and ongoing priorities and all AGO staff contributions are key to achieving these goals. The incumbent will also perform duties in accordance with department systems and procedures and applicable collective agreements.
