Why this role is important?

Basic Function

In this role, you will lead a team of self-motivated and well-resected team members, driving the strategic direction of Business Intelligence and Insights at Specialty Health Network. You will guide your team to deliver concrete and meaningful insights to improve and transform Patient Support and other strategically important programs. This role is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of large scale data mining models in support of all program and real-world evidence intelligence initiatives. A deep understanding of program analytics, technical data skills, and strong understanding of key business drivers, along with outstanding leadership capabilities are required to succeed in this role.

What you will do:

  • As a leader, you will be required to lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring their growth and success
  • Collaborate with and serve as a strategic advisor to all teams and stakeholders
  • Lead all advanced analytical activities and analysis driven insights with recommendations to improve patient access, outcomes and transform program design
  • Provide thought leadership into the data and predictive analytics strategy throughout the product development life-cycle of our CRMs and other data applications
  • Guide the development of the CRM / data repositories and data mining solutions using best practices and latest developments in the industry, aligned to our enterprise standard methodologies
  • Support maintaining the Data Mining tools and frameworks, including all prerequisite components and the add-ons. Help to apply upgrades and patch releases as the need arises
  • Collaborate with other teams within Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Loblaw Technology, Sales and Customer Service in the design and delivery of the predictive models. Subsequently, conduct strategic reviews of performance using data driven insights to explain trends and identify key learnings
  • Monitor reporting performance and make ongoing corrections by implementing extensive report testing strategies
  • Based on understanding trends in our customer behavior, proactively prepare presentations for senior management highlighting opportunities and challenges within our customer base
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures
What you will need:
  • 8-10+ years in healthcare analytics, CRM, or a related analytical field with a strong preference for experience with Patient Support Programs
  • 8-10+ years of Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Database Marketing or Machine Learning
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Post-Secondary education equivalent to a university degree in numerate or analytical field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in leveraging relational database management systems (e.g. SQL Servers) and able to query relational databases using BI software
  • Able to lead model designs, reports and dashboards and lead all aspects of their delivery into production
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability of providing recommendations, highlighting financial implications for the purposes of achieving buy-in
  • Ability to prioritize work amid competing demands and take projects from the briefing phase to the delivery of final reports/presentations with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated ability to unite disparate, often complex sources of customer information such as market research data with internally generated transactional data and transform into actionable insights, tactics and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Enjoy working in a complex and fast-paced environment, with changing deadlines from external forces, changing priorities, and highly matrixed projects across the enterprise
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail are required
  • High level of proficiency using MS Office tools is required
