As a Digital Writer, you will be an in-house expert in content and you will craft online copy to generate growth and increase brand awareness for all of Questrade Financial Group\xe2\x80\x99s lines of business.

What\xe2\x80\x99s it like working as a Digital Writer at Questrade?

A Digital Writer at Questrade is someone who can transform complex topics into plain language. You will be creating content to engage and educate our audience, discover what they want and optimize their path to conversion.

You will play a key role in implementing the content strategy to significantly increase brand awareness and fuel growth.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support marketing teams with content designed to achieve quarterly and yearly priorities.

Play a key role in developing content related to insurance products supporting QFG\xe2\x80\x99s mission, vision, and values * Write compelling short-form copy, distilling briefs into powerful, concise headlines (for display banners, print headlines, etc.).

• Guide customers and prospective customers through their journey\xe2\x80\x94knowing when to use enticing emotional copy or clear step-by-step instruction.
• Develop ideas with fellow writers and designers. Research a subject, find insights and craft content for multiple channels (corporate website, landing pages, emails, e-books, editorials, social, etc.).
• Ensure content is easy to understand.
• Work with members of the creative team (designers and developers) to bring content to life and ensure the value proposition and story is clearly understood by the consumer.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand persona, product and service capabilities and value propositions for specific products and services.
• Shape key messaging by understanding consumer insights and motivating factors, which will resonate and compel the target consumer to take action.
• Grow Questrade as a thought leader and advocate for Canadians.
• Contribute to editorial governance so content is consistent throughout Questrade applications and with our brand voice, style and tone.

• Have 3+ years experience writing clear, persuasive copy/content (short-form and long-form) for a wide array of channels (web, print, email, social, etc.) and audiences (B2C and B2B).
• Have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Diploma in English, Communications, Marketing/Digital Marketing or a related field.
• Have experience with Google GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
• Are a strategic thinker and creative storyteller.
• Have knowledge of the Canadian investment landscape and interest in fintech.
• Have financial services industry experience
• Have an eye for detail and excellent grammatical skills.
• Have the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Have project management skills and understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Have solid understanding of SEO principles, digital marketing and lead generation strategies.
• Have strong organizational skills.
• Have great presentation skills.
• Have the ability to work well at all levels of an organization and interact confidently with senior management.
• Are a self-motivated individual who isn\xe2\x80\x99t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.

• Are proficient in French, Mandarin or Cantonese
• Have experience in a regulated industry
• Have an advertising agency background
• Have completed the Canadian Securities Course
• Knowledge of HTML and Google Analytics
