We are hiring a Demand Planner to work with our team remotely and when needed from our Oakville offices.

Under the supervision of the National Demand Planning Manager, the Demand Planner will be responsible for providing and maintaining a valid 5-year trade channel forecast using historical data, statistical analysis and input from Sales, Marketing, and Business Insights to ensure accuracy of forecasts. This person will have a continuous improvement and growth mindset, storytelling the data is their strength, and they are comfortable presenting to groups of leaders. What the teammate will be responsible for -

Generates monthly item trade channel forecasts in volume, based on shipment and market trends, statistical projections, promotional plans, as well as inputs from Sales, Marketing, Business Insights, Finance and Supply. Models the promotional forecasts (lift volume) in weekly buckets and assigns causal factors to project net revenue. Monitor shipment performance versus the item level forecast and determine root-cause to improve accuracy and bias. Leads periodic DP-Sales meetings to discuss exceptions in past performance, review assumptions, risks, and opportunities, and reach consensus on volume & revenue forecast. Develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners to build market and customer knowledge. Monitors performance vs. forecast and Budget (volume and revenue) and provides detailed input for use in the Sales & Operations process. Act as a change leader; fostering relationships, functional skills and understanding process to facilitate change and drive sustainable process and business improvements in the IBP cycle. Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool. Works closely with Marketing, Business Insights, and Sales to forecast new products. Provides input and analysis for Demand Review meetings. Has a good understanding of related supply chain processes and the downstream effects demand planning has on them Assists with the management of item and vintage relationships to ensure sales through proper vintage. Maintains and utilizes forecasting "tools" and methodologies as established in the IBP process.

What the teammate can expect in the role -

Manage a 5-year Demand Plan at the month/item/trade channel level ensuring the cadence of the IBP cycle. Extensive interaction with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply with the intention of creating a valid demand plan. Cross functional team player with the skills required to inform multiple functional areas of discrepancy in demand plans.

What the teammate brings to the role -

Bachelor's degree required: Business, Math, Economics, Accounting or Science. Forecasting experience with marketing, sales or demand planning is required. Must have expert knowledge of Excel, Power Pivot, Power query & working knowledge of Power BI. 2-5 years of experience within Demand Planning in CPG or Manufacturing. Good understanding of sales with a multi-channel national organization. Expert in statistical analysis with experience within Oracle environment or other ERP software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns or trends in large amounts of data and adapt to changing markets. Ability to translate complex analysis into simple communications Attention to detail with excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Must have working Knowledge of Integrated business planning (Oliver Wight Methodology) Must have continuous improvement and attention to detail mindset.
