Job Description

With a recently acquired second facility, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and expansion.
The Demand Planner owns the rolling SKU-level forecast that drives Rubicon's supply chain. This role integrates sales, marketing, and market data inputs into a consolidated demand plan, enabling accurate production, inventory, and distribution planning. The position is critical to the success of the S&OP process, forecast accuracy, and alignment with Rubicon's commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain demand forecasts across brands, formats, and provinces. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on promotions, launches, and lifecycle strategies. Integrate customers forecasts into Rubicon's demand plan. Refine forecasts using POS/syndicated data (NielsenIQ, Hifyre, Headset). Manage SKU phase-ins/phase-outs, cannibalization, and assortment mix. Conduct scenario and what-if modeling to anticipate risks and demand shifts. Present forecasts in S&OP, building alignment and consensus across cross-functional teams. Track KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy (MAPE, Bias), OTIF, and Inventory Turns. Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, forecasting tools, and reporting.

Knowledge & Experience

5+ years of demand planning or forecasting experience in CPG, food, pharma, or cannabis. ERP experience required (D365 BC, Oracle, SAP, or similar). Proficiency in Excel (Power Query); experience with BI tools or forecasting platforms (Netstock, Anaplan, SAP IBP) is an asset. Ability to analyze POS and market data to inform forecasts. APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent is an asset.
