Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily deli operations including food preparation, service, and merchandising.
Train, schedule, and supervise deli team members to ensure excellent customer service.
Actively engage with customers, answer questions, and
upsell deli products and specials
to boost sales.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times.
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize sales.
Create attractive displays and contribute to menu ideas (sandwiches, salads, hot foods, grab-and-go items).
Monitor sales and costs to meet department goals.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications
1-2 years of deli, restaurant, or grocery management/leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety and handling standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
with a customer-first attitude.
Ability to
upsell products
and train team members to do the same.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and coach staff.
Flexible availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Positive, hands-on attitude and commitment to customer service.
