Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Deli Manager to oversee our deli department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service standards and food preparation, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry, as you will be responsible for managing inventory, training staff, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the deli department, including inventory management and product display. Perform food preparation tasks while adhering to food safety standards. Ensure all products are properly packaged and labeled according to policies. Train and supervise staff in food handling techniques, customer service, and food safety practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the deli department and ensure compliance with health regulations. Engage with customers to provide product information, answer questions, and assist with special requests. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory. Collaborate with other departments to promote sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Previous experience in retail management setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
