Day Camp Leader
Job Description
The camp coordinator is tasked with overseeing the daily care and guidance of campers, as well as presenting art lessons, and overseeing the execution of the projects. They will coordinate specific tasks, outline art lesson plans, and oversee the ordering and distribution of materials. This person oversees the camp counselors, addressing questions, concerns, and any conflicts or problems that may arise. They will be responsible for communicating in-person with parents/clients, staff and campers on a daily basis to ensure individual needs are addressed, including emotional and physical health needs.
Employment Requirements:
Completion of secondary school Work experience in a related field is an asset Proficient spoken French and English an asset First aid and/or CPR certified an asset Warm and outgoing personality Punctual, well-organized and reliable
Duties:
Assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of all daily/weekly art activities Animate recreation programs for children participating in the Camp Enforce safety rules and regulations Assemble art supplies Maintain cleanliness of program areas as well as organized work areas Ensure participant happiness and satisfaction in activities Participate actively in all games and activities Requires patience and a mature approach.
Working Conditions:
Full time, 35 hours per week on a contractual basis, approximately 9 weeks. Work takes place between the hours of 8:00am 6:00pm, weekdays. This is an extremely active job, with some physicality required and some outdoor time throughout the summer. Important to continuously monitor surroundings for client needs and safety

Pay: $16.10-$18.00 per hour
