The position plays a key support role within the Corporate Purchasing team, providing essential data management, system maintenance, and support to the other team members within the Corporate Purchasing department. This position ensures the integrity and accuracy of data, enabling informed decision-making and efficient execution of business strategies. Success in this role is built on attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong collaboration with internal teams and cross-departmental partners to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Data Management & Maintenance
Accurately maintain and update product, vendor, and broker information within internal systems.
Execute system updates including new item setup, delisting, description changes, vendor updates, and tax/eco fee management.
Manage data projects including data clean up, system enhancement testing, understanding data populations etc. based on the changing needs of the business. And process vendor cost change requests and ensure timely approval and implementation.
System Integration & SupportServe as Corporate Purchasing's SME when working with other business units to modify/enhance current business processes when implementing new systems (ERP/other).
Support data migration efforts during system upgrades or process transitions.
Strategic SupportAct as a core support partner to Category Manager(s) & Category Specialists to help execute merchandising strategies, assortment plans, and promotional initiatives.
Assist in data preparation for business proposals, vendor reporting and pulling data as needed.
Identify reporting issues and opportunities within Corporate Purchasing and escalate insights for action.
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork collaboratively with Category Specialists, Category Managers, and other key stake holders cross-departmentally to ensure alignment and consistency in data, communication, and processes.
Coordinate with IT and Data Governance teams on data standards and security.
Reporting & AnalyticsPrepare reports, summaries, and data packages to identify supplier performance and potential cost savings.
Provide reporting on item performance to Category Manager(s) as needed, for Category Reviews.

+ The ability to understand, manipulate, manage, analyze and report data in a dynamic and changing environment. Familiarity with sales management systems or enterprise resource planners (beneficial, not mandatory).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Data/Information Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
At least 2 years of experience in data entry, data management, procurement, or a related administrative support role.
Proven experience maintaining and analyzing large datasets with high accuracy.
Hands-on experience with ERP or sales management systems (preferred).
Experience working cross-functionally with different teams or departments.
Previous experience in a data maintenance or procurement role.
