Program Overview \xe2\x80\x93 People & Strategy Central Services

The People & Strategy team works broadly across the organization to identify, plan and execute cross-functional initiatives of significant size, scale and impact. Currently, the unit is leading a data transformation, working to design, develop and implement a holistic data platform that brings together data sets from across WoodGreen. This data platform will contain data from multiple source systems across WoodGreen\xe2\x80\x99s operations and community programs and services, and we are looking for an individual to lead the design, development, implementation and oversight of said platform.

What You Will Do

  • Create and maintain integrations between systems, as well as integrations to BI tools for seamless data access and analysis.
  • Set up new pipelines and modify existing ones, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow.
  • Maintain data management tools, such as data dictionaries and metadata repositories, to ensure accurate and consistent data definitions and documentation.
  • Develop and execute the roadmap for continuous improvements to the data repository, addressing scalability, performance, and data quality aspects.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the BI teams, providing guidance and support on data-related technical issues and best practices.
  • Help develop technical standards/approaches for BI (e.g., templates for dashboards) in the future.
  • Manage the MS architecture and collaborate with vendors/partners to ensure the successful implementation and operation of the data platform.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in data management and analytics, and proactively recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance the data platform\'s capabilities.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders, including Executive Sponsors, business units, and shared service representatives.
  • Actively participate in key sessions and meetings with stakeholders, including C-Suite and VPs, acting as the representative and owner of the data repository.
  • Partner with other stakeholders across IT, Operations, PMO and other to develop governance practices and processes related to the core systems and repository.
  • Participate in regular advisory and strategic planning sessions related to WoodGreen\xe2\x80\x99s overall data strategy.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management, data engineering, or related roles, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience developing integrations between systems, programmatic.
  • Understanding of data management best practices, including data governance, data security, and data quality.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team of technical professionals.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to deliver on-time and on-budget.
  • Experience using data to help guide social sector decision making.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations is an asset
