Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD?

Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have: The technology stack that is in place & evolving today:

  • Proficient operating Cloudera/Hortonworks Hadoop, HDFS/HBase/Yarn/Ranger/Spark/ZK, Ambari, Dremio, Druid, Airflow
  • A strong grasp of fundamental concepts of Linux (Redhat), data engineering, network, warehouses, operational databases, messaging, and data management
  • Good knowledge with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS.
  • Working knowledge of data migration from HDFS to ADLS using ADF.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills with experience of platform automation using python/bash with version control system Git/Bitbucket

  • Good experience in Data quality management testing the data quality from multiple systems
  • Good exposure to MDM (Master data management) systems

About This Role

We are seeking a lead platform Managing Engineer (L11 / Director level) to continue the build out and modernization of our data technology platforms.

As a team, working closely in partnership with our business partners in the chief data office, we are focused on maturing our organizations data practices to become best in class. This position will oversee two primary technology platforms, our MDM Data Masters as well as our Notebooks & Data Science team.

This role will be data centric and successful applications will be required to straddle the domains of both technology and data management practices. Great software requires great data!

Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here\'s some of what you may be asked to perform: As a Senior Platform Lead, you will be responsible for:
  • Build and design of a streamlined, domain agnostic, and scalable mastering capability to improve our efficiency and upgrade the quality of our available data sets.
  • Helping to drive the mission to create a data-literate organization allowing us to tackle complex challenges with data.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of our current MDM and Notebooks data platforms.
  • Collaborate with our CDO partners to elevate our Data Management Capabilities and product offerings.
  • Collaborating with our business product owners to define roadmaps that deliver incremental and well-defined business value.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering to establish a viable support model including measures and monitoring capabilities.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a diverse, highly skilled and performing team.
  • Assess Build vs. Buy opportunities, effectively adjudicate Vendor opportunities & partnerships, and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports leading an inclusive work environment where teamwork, self-motivation, diversity, and belonging are essential
