This position is to provide oversight and management of reporting, analytics and performance monitoring of Minto's Data Ecosystem. The Data & Analytics Manager will manage, coach and lead a team of data analysts and developers. The role will always strive to refine, automate and create synthesized reporting that can be visualized to support effective decision making. Responsible for the lifecycle of BI Solutions, from gathering business requirements, to modelling data and building a front end visualization or query. The successful candidate will have a background in data and business analysis, SQL queries, critical-thinking and an excellent communicator with a problem solving aptitude. Responsible for advancing data governance practices and principles. Building and delivering documentation, managing master data sets, working within existing systems and identifying opportunities to improve data quality.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the development of reporting, dashboards and overall analytics solutions for Minto's Business Groups aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Support the Business Groups where needed; analyze, contribute to and improve business processes and workflows; help with incident resolution and production data.
  • Understand how the data ecosystem is structured and how data is integrated and transformed across different platforms. Look for potential inconsistencies and partner with internal teams for resolution.
  • Ensure data is available, reliable, and consistent; closely monitor data quality and identify new controls to mitigate operational risk.
  • Collaborates with leadership to define data requirements for new business initiatives particularly in the areas of BI, analytics, and data warehousing.
  • When presented with problems or reporting needs, identify data and analytical process necessary to address them.
  • Ability to generate impactful, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis, translate data-driven output into business language, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information; craft complex and comprehensive SQL queries/views utilizing data infrastructure and external data sources.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Minto's data strategy that enables the most effective use of the data assets.
  • Bring forward new ideas/thought leadership/challenges to the status quo without a specific business request.
  • Design, develop and monitor technology solutions around key data governance focus areas of data catalogue, metadata management and data quality management.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge within area of expertise and keep current with industry trends and business direction.
  • Design and implement new processes in support of the data governance standards, develop supporting documentation.
  • Work with other areas of the organization on the definition of a master data management strategy and process.
  • Perform data profiling, data quality analysis and the development of data quality rules to support monitoring and remediation activities.
  • Implement an enterprise metadata management framework, inclusive of business, operational and technical metadata.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting requirements to monitor data compliance as well as KPIs and metrics to gauge the health and maturity of data governance program.
  • Conducting troubleshooting on BI data models
  • Generating and delivering BI solutions to customers and performing quality assurance checks
  • Design and architecture Integration Solutions
  • Experience integrating third-party apps into a core product
We would like you to have:
  • Leadership - previous experience managing software development / analytics teams
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a field related to information, data management, analytics
  • Knowledge of data visualization with Power BI dashboards or an equivalent tool
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • Understanding of SQL Database Administration, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Understanding of Advance Analytics such as Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize your work and the requests
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • 3 - 5 years of technical experience in implementing data governance, data analytics or data quality tools.
  • Knowledge and expertise in data governance technology, business process modeling, metadata, data lineage, master data management, data classification, data quality and enterprise implementation of data governance tools and solutions.
  • Experience in defining and building enterprise data management policies, processes, solutions, and associated documentation to strengthen data management.
  • Experience architecting integration solutions and building API Management solutions (MuleSoft Experience Preferred)
  • Experience integrating third-party apps into a core product
  • Experienced with all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including ideation, solution design, project planning, overall execution, and iteration.
