Nature and Scope:

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Manager, Data & Analytics provides integral analysis for the YMCA’s strategic planning, including systems and financials. The Data & Analytics Manager works closely and collaboratively with Senior Leadership (Chiefs & Vice Presidents) and their teams as needed for analysis inputs. Demonstrated analytical skills and strategic thinking are critical in this position. Expert level command of Excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint are essential. The successful candidate will see the patterns in data and pull the story from the facts.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop reporting packages, including dashboards and graphs, for both Senior Leadership Team and the Board
  • Pull together facts and key data sources from across the organization to support the Strategic Planning Process
  • Analyze and transform data into relevant and important information
  • Problem Solve and break down data to understand the why behind the numbers and taking steps if they don’t make sense
  • Present and communicate data in meaningful reports, dashboards, graphs, and PowerPoints, which clearly capture the story
  • Interpret data to help inform the Financial Strategic Planning and Analysis
  • Use data to support the Senior Leadership on Systems and Strategy Development


Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field.
  • Five to seven years recent, related business data analysis with systems and finance background experience
  • Demonstrated command of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are essential
  • Experience in strategy development
  • Expert-level analytical skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work well independently, under pressure, and with minimal direction
  • Ability to meet deadlines and established objectives
  • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential/sensitive information requiring high levels of diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality;
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
  • The YMCA has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy requiring all staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated
