The Coordinator, Research Data Management, Mental Health contributes to the development, implementation, and support of research, QIQA, and operational support projects and associated electronic research data platforms for PHSA Mental Health research.
What you’ll do

  • Provide front-line solutions to Mental Health research projects across BCMHSUS by applying existing solutions from BCCHR Data Management across Mental Health programs.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders to develop and implement standardized data collection tools to support Mental Health research.
  • Consult with Clinical and Research Leads to integrate standardized clinical measures.
  • Support research and clinical teams’ use of EDC platforms throughout the project lifecycle by performing a variety of operational tasks.
  • Follow appropriate programming and development methodologies and best practices for delivery of data services.
  • Provide system users with electronic data management system orientation and training sessions, organizes educational and training workshops on various EDC.
  • Educate, promote, and assist research and clinical teams in the development of data management plans and good data management practices.
  • Create and maintain training material, ensuring that it is up-to-date and provide reference materials, on-line tutorials, promotional materials and presentations to system users.



What you bring

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of recent related experience working in clinical research and/or mental health field, including experience developing and managing projects and databases using software for clinical research (REDCap, OpenSpecimen or similar).



You also have:
  • Understanding of the academic research process, clinical trial process, and data management process.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally as the role involves extensive stakeholder interaction.
  • Experience in implementing and conducting training programs for staff.
  • A combination of analytical, creative, critical thinking skills and a high level of attention to detail.
