Coordinator, Human Resources

CMLS Financial is looking for an HR Coordinator to join our growing team in Toronto or Vancouver. Our successful candidate will possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage their time effectively while completing high-quality, detailed work in a fast-paced environment. About the Role:

  • Build strong relationships and credibility with all levels of management
  • Motivate and support an inclusive and diverse culture
  • Collaborate with the HR team to improve HR practices, process decisions and programs
  • Provide support on annual employee programs for the HR function including year-end performance and compensation, mandatory training, employee survey and engagement planning
  • Provide data and analysis to support HR employee programs and department initiatives
  • Input employee information into the HR system, maintain, update and document employment changes, including new hires, salary changes, terminations for monthly payroll runs
  • Manage the employee onboarding and orientation process to ensure smooth new hire transition to the new team
  • Participate in the talent acquisition and recruitment processes for open roles
  • Administration of candidate pre-employment testing, including candidate contact, test administration and reporting
  • Coordinate with department managers to provide better Talent Management strategies and practices
  • Partner with leaders to identify and understand their needs and the needs of their team members in building a high calibre and highly engaged workforce
  • Stay up-to-date for all HR and company policies, business and functional knowledge, and industry trends
  • Create and maintain HR metrics reporting
This role is for you if you have:
  • You have at least 1-3 years progressively responsible Human Resources experience, preferably as a generalist
  • You completed a post-secondary degree with a concentration in Human Resources/business or CHRP designation and equivalent work experience required
  • You demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and confidential/sensitive information
  • You are comfortable with change and managing tight timelines
  • You are results-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
  • You have proven ability to influence and build strong client relationships
  • You have great teamwork skills and are excited about collaborating with others!
  • You have sound analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad Human Resource issues and resolve conflict situations in a diplomatic manner
  • You are highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • You have excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • You possess intermediate technical skills using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You have working experience with an HR System (UKG Pro preferred)
