We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources Department at our printing facility in Calgary for a 12 month contract. We offer competitive wages, group insurance package after 90 days, free onsite gym, free parking and our location is close to public transit. You will be required to work onsite for this role (based out of the manufacturing facility in SE Calgary).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all employees and managers with all HR related inquires.
  • Act as the primary contact for benefits administration including coordinating STD/LTD and return to work programs.
  • Perform full cycle recruitment - lead selection process (internal and external) including pre-screening resumes, conducting interviews, and completing reference checks and preparing pre-employment contracts.
  • Assist and coach managers regarding progressive discipline and termination issues.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions and on boarding process.
  • Coordinate access card programming for employees and visitors
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Provide support to Payroll Coordinator as required.
  • Actively support Health and Safety Programs and initiatives of the division including SafeStart and participating as a member of the Health and Safety Committee.
  • Track and file H&S data and training records
  • Maintain Powerpoint presentation and data reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Adhere to 5S workplace organization standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar Human Resources position
  • Post-secondary studies in Human Resources are required.
  • Good working knowledge of Workers\' Compensation legislation, Employment Equity, Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Previous recruitment coordination experience (schedule interviews/ pre-employment candidate testing) is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/ industrial background would be an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office, HRIS/word processing
