We are currently searching for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, our ideal candidate brings previous experience in HR from with the hotel or hospitality industry who possesses excellent organizational and administrative skills, with an ability to multi-task, and most importantly, someone who brings a sense of fun into their day to day tasks and interactions. Their dynamic personality and innovative people management skills will ensure our Colleagues experience true Shangri-La hospitality and care.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will participate in the administration and implementation of HR departmental functions. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Process administration within the Human Resources department related to benefits, compensation, recruitment, and performance management Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and files of HR transactions including performance reviews, discipline, and policy acknowledgements, payroll records, employee availability and schedule ranking updates, locker assignments etc. As the front facing member of our HR Team, respond to questions, requests, and concerns from Colleagues regarding company and Human Resources programs, partnering with the Director of Human Resources and HR Service Leader, as required Assist in the creation of and on-time submission of all HR related reports, ensuring the accuracy of HRIS & spreadsheet entries Responsible for processing the administration and onboarding of newly both recruited and terminations of frontline positions, entering data into payroll and HRIS, creating employee name tags, ID cards, processing benefits enrollment, etc. Conducts frontline Colleague Onboarding and Offboarding (Exit) Interviews Keep employee information and notice boards up-to-date and participate in establishing and managing open, effective communication between all departments and HR team. Manages HR compliance records including employee work permits, licenses, certifications, visas etc. Assist in planning and executing of colleague events, parties, celebrations, service awards etc. Manage our internal programs including: reward and recognition program, employee transit program, Provide administrative support and assist in areas of workers compensation, learning & development - as required Provide support in the recruitment process for frontline employees including conducting phone screens, interviews, regrets etc. Using creativity and sincerity, add personal touches to the offerings of the HR department to constantly anticipate, personalize and improve upon our Colleague experience. Assist the Director of Human Resources with special projects, as required. Undertake other ad hoc responsibilities, as required
Education & Skill Requirements include: Previous education and/or experience in human resources is preferred. CPHR designation is an asset, but not required. Detail oriented with superior organizational and administrative skills Previous administration job experience and familiarization with MS Office Software is required for this role A proven ability to manage multiple projects successfully Previous experience in a similar capacity within another hotel brand is an asset
