As the Human Resources Coordinator you will report directly to the Director, Human Resources, and be responsible for supporting Recruitment, WSIB Claims management and a number of critical HR Programs. This role will support multiple locations with the opportunity to work out of our Kitchener Office.
The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing a consistently high standard of support to the Human Resources team in the areas of Recruitment & Selection, Health & Safety, and other essential HR Programs. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in Human Resources and develop with a growing organization.
Job Duties: Responsible for administratively managing the recruitment function including; Job Posting creation Job Scorecard creation Managing our Applicant Tracking System (Jazz HR) Criminal Background testing Pre-employment testing Primarily responsible for full cycle recruitment of all office positions Provide backup recruitment support on driver recruitment Facilitates in-person new driver Provider onboarding Attends career fairs and engages with potential candidates, selling the value of the opportunities at Riverdale Creates and updates recruitment and retention reporting Manages Social Media presence on multiple platforms; Linkedin, Facebook, Glassdoor, Indeed Administers WSIB Claims process; Incident reporting claims management coordination with external medical professionals return-to-work process Conduct research into OHS requirements and best practices, such as: PPE requirements and operational safety tools/technology Implement best practices as required Overseeing the Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and issue-resolution Overseeing monthly Temporary Foreign Worker housing inspections Policy review and creation using First Reference Other tasks as reasonably assigned

What you bring to the role: 1-2 years of recruitment experience 1-2 years of administrative experience G Class License and access to a car when required Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Google Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Able to demonstrate an understanding of business objectives Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, or a Business-related discipline. Sound judgment with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. A team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions: Hybrid working environment, minimum 8 days per month in office/onsite Some travel as required to other offices and yards across GTA and Southwestern Ontario Provide support outside of traditional office hours as required
