Role
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for the Total Rewards department, providing administrative and confidential support. You will play a key role in coordinating several key Total Rewards areas and ensure compliance and/or consistency with internal standards, policies, and procedures with internal customers. You will be a key point of contact in responding to compensation, benefits, and wellness related matters provided to the organization by administering programs, processes, and support.

Responsibilities

Benefits and Wellness:
  • Facilitates the administration of benefit programs including retirement, wellness, short/long-term disability, recognition, employee assistance, Inspire monthly reports, Flu Shot Clinics if applicable including communication and working with vender and pension
  • Support focused on benefits audits, changes, enrollment process, eligibility, premiums validation, coverage amounts/options, claims filing and personnel records maintenance
Retiree Benefits
  • First point of contact for retiree inquiries and assists retirees with benefits
  • Set up benefits and premiums for employees transitioning to retirement, as well as employees on LTD reaching maximum payable benefit and moving to the special cases plan
  • Coordinate with retirees, policy administrators and accounts receivables to make necessary updates to policy and premiums resulting from reaching age 65 and transitioning drug benefits to the provincial plan
  • Coordinate the setup of benefits and premiums for new and retiring board of directors\' members,
  • Investigate any issues arising with retiree, BOD or special cases coverage
Ergonomic assessments:
  • Review requests and reach out to ergonomic service providers to schedule assessments
  • Review reports from occupational therapist and share details
Compensation:
  • Coordinate JEQ process and update JD\'s once approved by committee
  • Participate in reviewing and updating the jobs for the Market review process as well as participate in the market surveys
  • Assist with creating Sales incentive plans as well as salary adjustment processes
Requirements
  • Bilingual (English and French) required
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field, preferably Human Resources
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation and/or Certified Professional Human Resources Professional (CPHR) is considered an asset
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in an HR/administrative position
  • Strong computer systems knowledge including Microsoft Office, Outlook and HR system software. Experience in SAP/WorkDay would be an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with minimum supervision
