Entity and activity description

The main object and purpose of this position is the Coordination of all Inventory and Purchasing of parts related to the maintenance of Air Liquide\'s Fleet of Delivery Trailers in Western Canada. This fleet includes Cryogenic Trailers, CO2 Trailers, Pressurized Tube Trailers and various other Tractors and Trailers. The incumbent is responsible for managing the parts inventory, purchase orders, as well as promoting ALC\xe2\x80\x99s safety and quality objectives within the Garage/Workshop environment.

Missions and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates: the Inventory and Purchasing with the allocated budget. Working closely with the Mechanics and Delivery Drivers ensuring that all Maintenance Items are purchased along with controlling the inventory of parts needed to support our preventive maintenance programs. Coordinates & reconciles work orders with the mechanics. Keeps equipment availability records up-to-date in supporting databases such as MIR and Oracle software.

2. Operates and Administers Air Liquide\'s preventive maintenance system (MIR). Assists in the Coordination of the maintenance and repair schedules for the distribution trailers along with assisting in basic property administration (snow removal, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance work etc..).

3. Ensures Administrative follow-up: Prepares reports concerning monthly costs control within the Garage/Workshop.

4. Safety/Quality: Participate in Monthly Safety Meetings and Emergency Response Planning for the Garage/Workshop. Supports Facility Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in all Safety functions at the facility.

  • Strong Computers Skills within Google Sheets/Excel/ Oracle etc...
  • Knowledge of Purchase Ordering/Supply Chain systems
  • Good Decision-making skills & Planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic within a Team
