ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
McDougall Energy has a key role to fill in our Corporate Operations division. We are seeking an individual to join our fleet maintenance management team in the position of Fleet Maintenance Planner. This position is located in St. Thomas Ontario, supporting our Southern Ontario operations. Reporting to the Corporate Cost to Serve & Fleet Maintenance Manager, the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Coordinate planned and unplanned repairs of vehicles and on-board equipment with external service providers
  • Conveying company standards / expectations for repair and documentation
  • Monitors compliance with inspections, maintenance standards, etc.
  • Costing reviews / validation of billing
  • Assists with adherence to regulatory compliance items and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Routine travel to visit our Southern Ontario operating hubs and the service providers who support them to develop business relationships and to monitor condition of vehicles.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Technical understanding of heavy vehicles and transportation experience
  • Supervisory or trades experience in a truck or heavy equipment service organization
  • Fuel handling experience would be an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance approaches
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing business needs
