BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.

BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Specialist. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Charlottetown, PE.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Identifying and delivering improvement initiatives to generate savings across the organization.
• Develop, analyze and report operations\' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Identifying trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
• Apply and use LEAN methodologies (i.e. 5S, A3, Gemba, Kaizen, PDCA, SMED, VSM, etc.) to all related projects/activities when appropriate.
• Working with key business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment.
• Coaching teams in identification of opportunities and execution of improvement projects.
• Supporting employee training in the proper application of Continuous Improvement concepts.
• Preparing and facilitating idea generation workshops with operators and management.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Operations Management, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent degree and experience.
• Minimum 2 years\' work experience in a similar role or in a lean environment.
• Lean or Six Sigma Certification would be considered an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Power Applications, SQL and any other analytical tools (Tableau, Minitab, Cognos, etc.)

Entry: $ 49,608
