Job Description


Overview:
Artemis Gold Inc. is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Artemis Gold trades on the TSX-V under the symbol ARTG.

The Blackwater Mine is currently under construction with first pour of gold and silver expected in H2 2024.


Reporting to the Director Communications and Community Relations, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing the execution of communications plans across a broad range of tactics and channels including but not limited to, website, social media, advertising, brand management, video, e-newsletters, events, and brand management. Responsibilities:
Brand Management

  • Work with external graphic designers and suppliers to oversee the creation of branded materials (print materials, merchandise, digital assets, advertisements, signage, etc.) in line with the Artemis Gold brand standards
  • Review and provide feedback to external suppliers to ensure the brand standards are upheld on all materials
  • Review requests to the brand support email address and ensure that all internal and external requests are responded to in a timely manner
  • Oversee swag vendor and sourcing other branded items


Writing & messaging
  • Draft content for internal and external communications, including the quarterly community newsletter, posters, brochures, advertisements, social media copy, presentations, awards & nominations
  • Draft new messaging and maintain standard messaging documents


Social Media, Website & Intranet
  • Draft and post content to the company\'s website and social media channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Compile and analyze quarterly website & social media statistics to identify emerging trends
  • Manage the company\'s email distribution lists, using email platforms such as Constant Contact or MailChimp
  • Set up and distribute emails to various lists (Careers, News Releases, Website Updates, etc.)
  • Use the website CMS to update and schedule content
  • Create, update and maintain content (news items, documents, copy, photos, videos, etc.) on intranet
  • Work with other departments to determine placement and post their information
  • Work with IT or web vendor to resolve technical issues as needed


Miscellaneous
  • Review and develop external presentations as required
  • Draft weekly media report and stay up to date on topics and trends relevant to the company
  • Maintain content and activity calendars
  • Issues management and crisis communications support as needed
  • Other activities as required
Qualifications:
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong writing skills
  • Brand oversight management, and creative development
  • Social media management
  • Website CMS systems
  • Understanding of web and social media analytics
  • Strong skills in working within the Microsoft SharePoint and Teams environment
  • Very close attention to detail is a requirement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to produce results quickly and efficiently



Experience
  • This role requires 5-8 years of experience in Corporate Communications
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Experience in a communications generalist or cross functional communications role is an asset
  • Experience working in Mining, or Natural Resources in B.C. preferred
