About the People & Culture team:

About the Communications Manager (P&C) Role:


Working at Wave is special. We do a lot of incredible things for our Wavers. We’re so busy doing these things that at times we forget to tell the story of the impact of all our people & culture related initiatives. We have created the new role of Communications Manager to fix that. This role will ensure that both current & prospective Wavers deeply understand what life at Wave is all about.

Reporting to the VP, Organizational Effectiveness, you will be both the strategic driver and tactical executor around internal & external employee communications. You’ll work closely with the entire P&C team, liaise with marketing, and have a good understanding of employees across all of Wave.

: At Wave, Josh leads all things around Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and driving Purpose, Mission & Values. Josh can regularly be seen around the Wave office with his 6 pound puppy partner-in-crime, Psylocke. When he’s not effectively organizing at Wave, Josh is training non-stop as one of ten participants in the 2023 Fight to End Cancer.

Victoria Stewart
: Sr. Employee Experience Manager and EA Extraordinaire. Seriously, there’s nothing Vic can’t do. She’s also an awesome dog mom to the incredibly adorable Alistair (Wave’s Chief Barketing Officer) and is a self-proclaimed cardio bunny.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact

  • Write & support the creation of new blog articles, social posts, emails & Slack messages, Confluence pages, and any other platform we think has impact with thoughtful, delightful copy that shows empathy for our employees and supports our employment brand
  • Manage Wave’s LinkedIn & Glassdoor accounts from strategy through to execution
  • Lead the creation and editing of video content to support both internal & external communication strategies. At a minimum this will include monthly videos for our Townhalls, and may ramp up to include additional content for other channels/purposes
  • Support P&C leadership (& broader Wave senior leadership team) in shaping organizational communications

Here's What We Need From You

  • Excellent writing and editing skills (and a portfolio or writing examples to share with your application is a must)
  • The ability to work on a wide range of tactical and creative projects and adapt to shifting priorities - we’re talking everything from LinkedIn posts to editing videos for our monthly Townhalls
  • Experience measuring/reporting on content performance
  • The tendency to be a self-starter who values learning on the job, and a preference for being on a small team where you’ll wear many hats
