The Stakeholder Engagement team within the Ministry of Health has responsibility for communicating and engaging with health sector stakeholders and the public on the ministry\xe2\x80\x99s strategic priorities with a focus on primary care. The branch also supports internal and stakeholder communications for other priority health topics, including the ministry\xe2\x80\x99s COVID-19 response. The team has a cross-divisional mandate to support the communications and engagement efforts of these priority areas. It deals with high profile and often confidential information.

Reporting to the Director, you will work as a member of the Stakeholder Engagement team. You are accountable for providing innovative communications and engagement solutions and developing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. In addition, you will develop digital and web products and content and prepare content and materials for internal and external audiences, including writing articles for stakeholder newsletter, websites, and graphics support.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in communications, public relations, English or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in writing and editing communications materials.
  • Experience using website software such as content management systems, including Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and responding to changing priorities, while producing results within tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in communications for a large organization, including working and liaising with staff at all levels of the organization, including executive.
  • Experience coordinating formal and informal consultation processes.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
  • Recent experience in graphic design (within the last two years).
  • Experience working in a health sector environment.
  • Communications experience in a federal, provincial, or municipal role, or in a health-related organization.

About this Position:
This position can be based in any Ministry of Health office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and temporary opportunities.
