Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

CNC Operator/Programmer (Woodworking)

to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

CNC woodworking machinery

, strong programming skills, and proficiency in

AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360

for design and toolpath generation. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving, and precision to deliver high-quality wood components that meet design and production standards.


Key Responsibilities




CNC Programming & Operation



+ Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using

Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD

.
+ Set up and operate CNC woodworking machines (routers, mills, lathes, etc.).
+ Select tools, feeds, and speeds appropriate for woodworking materials.

Design & Toolpath Development



+ Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop machining strategies.
+ Generate accurate toolpaths and simulate machining processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
+ Collaborate with design teams to refine models for manufacturability.

Production & Quality Control



+ Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
+ Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, templates).
+ Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues.

Maintenance & Safety



+ Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
+ Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
+ Document processes, setups, and production data for continuous improvement.

Qualifications


Proven experience as a

CNC Operator/Programmer in woodworking

or related field. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360

. Knowledge of woodworking materials (MDF, hardwood, plywood, laminates, etc.) and cutting techniques. Ability to read and interpret

engineering drawings and blueprints

. Experience in

CAM programming, G-code generation, and CNC setup

. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills


Experience with

CNC routers and nesting software

. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization. Understanding of finishing techniques (sanding, edging, polishing).

Education & Experience


Diploma/Certificate in

CNC Machining, Wood Technology, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering

, or equivalent. * 2 5 years of experience in

CNC woodworking operations and programming
