Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and a strong understanding of various installation techniques. This role involves working with different types of carpets and flooring materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Measure and cut carpet to fit designated areas accurately. Install carpet using appropriate techniques, ensuring a smooth and secure fit. Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as necessary. Read and interpret blueprints or installation plans to execute projects efficiently. Perform carpentry tasks related to flooring installation, including trim work and transitions. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the installation process. Apply caulking where necessary to ensure a finished look and prevent moisture infiltration. Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are organized.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools related to flooring installation. Strong background in construction practices with an emphasis on flooring installation techniques. Experience in tile laying, ensuring precision in placement and adherence to design specifications. Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings for accurate installations. Carpentry skills that complement flooring work, including the ability to handle trim and moldings effectively. Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing edges and joints properly. Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in home improvement tasks. Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
