Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, with a focus on carpet, and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while ensuring that all installations meet industry standards.

Duties

Measure and cut carpet materials to fit specific areas, ensuring precise dimensions for optimal installation. Prepare surfaces for carpet installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or padding. Install carpet using appropriate techniques, tools, and equipment, ensuring a seamless finish. Lay tile as needed, following design specifications and ensuring proper alignment. Read blueprints and project plans to determine layout and installation requirements. Perform basic carpentry tasks related to flooring projects, including trim work and adjustments. Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, fitting, and securing carpet materials. Apply caulking where necessary to ensure a clean finish and prevent moisture penetration. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools commonly used in flooring installation and construction. Strong experience in flooring installation techniques, particularly with carpets and tiles. Ability to read blueprints accurately to execute installation plans effectively. Knowledge of basic carpentry skills for trim work and adjustments during installations. Experience with caulking applications for finishing touches on installations. General maintenance person experience is beneficial for troubleshooting issues that may arise during projects. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
