What you'll do
Install carpet and flooring materials with precision, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, and finishing flooring.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.
Conduct restoration work as needed, including water damage restoration and buffing floors.
Perform trim carpentry and fixture installation to complete the flooring project.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process.
Basic qualifications
Proven experience in flooring installation, including carpet laying and tile laying.
Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading.
Strong skills in carpentry, caulking, concrete finishing, and remodeling.
Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Experience in the restoration industry is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
Previous maintenance person experience or involvement in construction painting.
Knowledge of floor care techniques to maintain quality installations.
Experience with cabinet installation is an advantage.
