We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and chop ingredients for meals, including vegetables, meats, and other components as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared safely. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary role is an asset but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
