We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves both food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to our standards of excellence and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
