We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/ HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various Bookkeeping and HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail while being able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Bookkeeper
Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, progressive invoicing, inventory reports, account statements, and other financial statements using computerized systems.
Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements in a ledger or computer.
Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets.
Prepare period or cost statements or reports. Calculate costs of materials, overhead and other expenses based on estimates, quotations, and price lists.
File all government related filings.
HR Functions
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
