Vinci School Ottawa is a licensed early learning centre committed to providing high-quality education and care for children. As part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to help manage our administrative and financial operations related to CWELCC and city funding.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a
part-time Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
with
hands-on experience managing CWELCC documentation, reporting, and funding submissions
. This role supports the Director and management team with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and general administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
Prepare and submit CWELCC and other city funding reports and documentation
Assist with payroll, invoices, and receipts
Support compliance with Ministry and city funding requirements
Provide general administrative support (filing, correspondence, data entry, etc.)
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and administrative roles
Direct experience with CWELCC funding and reporting is required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Willing to get a level 3 police check (Vulnerable Sector Check)
CPR + First Aid Trained
Schedule:
Part-time, flexible hours (approximately 10-20 hours per week)
